The Weekly Conversation
AA works not because of clinicians with clipboards, but because of equality, acceptance, structure, and connection.
People show up as peers, not patients. That’s what makes it powerful.
The Weekly Conversation borrows that same formula—except you don’t need rock bottom. You don’t need a diagnosis. You don’t even need a crisis.
Instead of recovery, the shared practice is being human in a world that doesn't make it easy.
The Framework
AA has the Twelve Steps. Here, it’s the Seven Concepts—the framework for understanding human needs and flourishing.
Three foundational courses build the groundwork:
The 7 Concepts – understanding how humans actually work
Your Big Story – reframing your life through the Hero’s Journey
Tending – learning to meet your needs realistically and rhythmically (and where you’ll also learn the conversation format, prompts, and how to prepare)
The journey isn’t meant to be walked alone. You need allies who understand the terrain—people who remind you that flourishing happens through rhythm, not overhaul.
You’re not just talking about your week—you’re re-patterning your nervous system, building community, and creating the conditions for flourishing—steadily, sustainably, and together.
The Weekly Conversation is where knowledge becomes practice—where concepts become choices and understanding becomes change.
Why This Works
This isn’t about fixing problems. It’s about creating the conditions for flourishing.
We don’t need to dig into the past—Course Two helps you understand that story. This keeps you in the present, while shaping the future.
We don’t give advice. We engage one another through meaningful connection and proven science. The magic isn’t in what we say—it’s in what we do together.
The Weekly Conversation accelerates internal growth by aligning with how the brain naturally changes:
Neuroplasticity + Visualization
When you describe a vivid image of how you want to show up—confident in a meeting, calm with your kids—your brain begins wiring for that experience. Repetition each week strengthens those pathways until new behaviors feel natural.
Mirror Neurons + Collective Focus
When others hold that image for you, their mirror neurons fire in sync with yours. Their belief becomes a neural scaffold for your change—free from your own self-doubt.
Rhythm + Reflection
Weekly preparation, participation, and visualization create stable patterns of self-awareness and belonging. This rhythm fosters emotional regulation, accountability, and satisfaction.
It’s not wishful thinking—it’s practical neuroscience for everyday flourishing.
Showing up consistently builds profoundly healthy dynamics into your life:
Belonging and Being Heard – You’re witnessed without judgment or advice, creating genuine psychological safety.
Intentional Reflection – Preparing helps you evaluate what’s working in your tending—body and being alike.
Celebration of Progress – Sharing wins, even small ones, rewires your brain for satisfaction.
Perspective and Inspiration – Hearing others’ stories broadens empathy and insight.
Connection Over Isolation – You’re reminded, week after week, that you’re not walking this path alone.
Every conversation follows a simple, repeatable flow:
Opening (2 min) – Grounding breathwork to settle and connect being-to-being.
Sharing Rounds (5–7 min/person) – Reflect on your week using guiding prompts:
Current emotional state and what it reveals
How you tended (nourishment, rest, exercise, maintenance, release)
Enemy beliefs you noticed or allies who helped
A brief visualization for the week ahead
No commentary or cross-talk. Just witnessing and support.
Group Visualization (30 sec/person) – The group silently holds your vision. Shared focus amplifies the brain’s ability to wire what you imagine.
Closing (2–3 min) – A breath together, carrying connection into the week.
Structured enough to feel safe. Simple enough for anyone to lead.
The Breakthrough
The Weekly Conversation is designed to reach anyone, anywhere:
Flexible Access – Join by phone or computer from anywhere with cell service or Wi-Fi. No commute. No childcare scramble. No extra logistics.
Low Cost – Participation costs $10–17 per session, depending on the host—less than therapy, less than a yoga class, and far more sustaining.
No Experts Required – Led by regular folks using a simple script. Grounded in humanity, not hierarchy.
This is peer support for the modern world—meaningful connection within reach of anyone who wants to grow.
The conversation is waiting. Your allies are ready.
As more participants complete the courses and begin hosting, we’re building a network of peer support that can reach anywhere there’s Wi-Fi.
If you’re someone others naturally turn to for encouragement, you may be interested in hosting. Hosts choose their schedule, run conversations using the script, and receive direct payment from participants.
It’s real people helping real people—and being compensated fairly for it.
